Getting Started

What you will do: Set up an account, create a scoped API key, and confirm access with a read-only request. Keep API keys in a server environment variable.

Step 1: Open your dashboard

Sign in to the dashboard. The navigation contains Scripts, Keys, Analytics, and API Keys. Start with the area you plan to use.

Step 2: Create a scoped API key

Open API Keys, create a key, and choose only the permissions your integration needs. Copy the key when it is shown and store it on your server.

Step 3: Confirm your connection

Call GET /v1/me to confirm the key, its scopes, and its current rate limits.

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $LUAPROTECT_API_KEY" https://api.luaprotect.dev/v1/me
Next step: Read Authentication for key handling, then open the endpoint reference for your task.
